Fundraise at a school

There are so many ways for children and youth to be involved in fundraising activities at school, like this awesome "Cupcakes for Congo bake sale, which equipped 12 children with bags, uniforms and school equipment to start school again after fleeing violence.

The EarlyAct club at Cooma North equipped 20 children for a new year back in school with this awesome fete: They sold cakes and fresh juice, guessed the photos, chose lucky numbers, played skittles, three gumboots and had great fun!

Did you know that most of the world's French speakers are African?
33 million of them are in the Democratic Republic of Congo, alone, and the population is growing rapidly. So, maybe young learners of French should know more about the global community they are joining.
We have made some resources to help!

Tiny Books are a way for Australian and Congolese children to connect directly.

  • We have four culturally appropriate African Storybooks to choose from, in either Swahili or French.
  • Each book can be colour printed on one side of an A4 page, folded, and customised by your students.
  • We will scan and print them for delivery with the SchoolKit, or SchoolKits, you're giving, perhaps with the help of a local service club.
  • If you have French students advanced enough to compose their own original Tiny Books, that's welcome too!

Invite a service club to partner with you

For a  lovely intergenerational project in your community., invite your local Rotary Club (or other) to collaborate for the well-being of children on both sides of the globe.

Your students can personalise the Tiny Books to accompany the Service Club's Gift!

Send a note to the newspaper too, to share the joy!

These students at Ying Wa College in Hong Kong made Tiny Books to accompany SchoolKits that were sponsored by their local Rotary Club, Kowloon Golden Mile.
